Large 80 mm Standoffs

Perfect for mounting your sign off the wall for high impact. This is suitable for our chunkier artificial wall panels such as Bloom, Jungle, Fern, Spring White to ensure enough clearance.

• Size: 12 mm head x 80 mm standoff from base to screw cap
• *75 mm clearance from wall to actual signage

Fitting:

Drilling required when you buy a pre made sign that’s in stock or an after purchase: You will need to simply re drill the sign to allow for the locations of your standoffs.

• *Always allow for a minimum of 15 mm clearance from the edge of a sign to avoid cracking/ edges breaking.
• You will need a sharp metal/ wood 3 mm + 8 mm drill bit for this.
• Place the acrylic sign on a clean, non scratch flat and solid surface that will allow for drill holes to penetrate. Such as wood. *We find using a double wall cardboard to drill  through on top of the wood helps keep the cut clean on the base side.
• First use the 3 mm drill bit to make the first hole in preparation for the larger finish. Then once fully through. Use the 8 mm drill bit the finish off the hole size required.
• Wipe clean both drills bit/ remove the melted plastic before attempting the next hole.

To finish: 

• *Long Phillips head screw driver required (to fit in standoff opening)
• Trace on the wall the location of the standoffs from the sign at the level you want it to be at.
• Then fit the base of the standoff first. Mark on the screw hole using the standard off as a template or simply mark the centre of the traced circle.
• Then fit the raw plug into the hole within the wall (when mortar/ plaster board).
• Then screw the base in place so that the screw is within the standoff unit.
• Now bring the sign to line up with the fitted standoff. Use the rubber washer on both sides of your sign. *Slightly dampen the standoff metal end to hold the rubber washer in place.
• Then finally screw the top in place to secure.
